Dr. Abdessalem RABHI
Rabhi Abdessalem, from Tunisia, is a holder of PhD in comprehensive economic policies. He has joined IGES since Oct.2007. He was assigned to conduct various projects related to business and environment, mainly those regarding corporate environmental managements and low carbon technology transfer and application. Currently, he is a task manager of projects related to the application of Japanese low carbon technologies in developing countries in Asia and the Pacific.
He has been able to engage and interact with various stakeholders (Central/Local Government, civil society, private sector, financial institutions, academia, etc.) to conduct Desk work, “on the ground” activities and online knowledge and information sharing. Countries which he covered until FY2014 include: Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. In FY2015 and FY2016, he lead and managed a project on Technology Assessments (TA) focusing on the countries previously mentioned along with others in Central and Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Poland and Hungary), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), etc. Part of the activities under TA project were jointly conducted with leading international organizations such as: IRENA, AIT_RRC.AP, UNU_IAS, REC, TERI, etc.
